Itinerary: Tangier to the Sahara and Marrakech in 5 days

1. 1

   Day 1 · Tangier — Tetouan — Chefchaouen

   Pick-up in Tangier, visit of the white medina of Tetouan and the climb into the Rif to Chefchaouen. Free afternoon in the blue lanes and sunset from the Spanish mosque.

   
2. 2

   Day 2 · Chefchaouen — Volubilis — Meknes — Fez

   Departure after breakfast heading south. In Volubilis we walk among the Roman columns and mosaics, then the holy town of Moulay Idriss and Meknes with the monumental Bab Mansour gate. Arrival in Fez in the evening.

   Day 3 · Fez — Ifrane — Midelt — Merzouga

   A long day across the Middle Atlas: Ifrane, the Azrou cedars with their macaques, Midelt and the Ziz gorges. Arrival at the dunes in the late afternoon and a camel ride to the camp for sunset. Berber dinner and a night under the stars.

   Day 4 · Merzouga — Todra — Dadès

   Sunrise on the dunes, breakfast and departure west. A walk in the Todra Gorge and the drive up into the Dadès valley, among strangely shaped rocks. Night in a guesthouse.

   Day 5 · Dadès — Skoura — Aït Ben Haddou — Marrakech

   The Valley of Roses, the Skoura palm grove, a visit of Aït Ben Haddou and then the High Atlas with the Tizi n'Tichka pass. Arrival in Marrakech in the evening.
