Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is camel trekking suitable for beginners? +

Yes! Our camel treks are designed for all experience levels. The camels are well-trained and gentle. Your guide will provide instructions on how to mount, ride, and dismount safely. The pace is leisurely, and we take frequent breaks for photos and rest.

What should I pack for the camel trek? +

Bring: comfortable loose clothing, a warm jacket for cold nights, sunscreen, sunglasses, a scarf for sun/sand protection, closed-toe shoes, a small backpack for water and camera, and a headlamp or flashlight. We recommend traveling light as space in camp is limited.

Are the desert camps comfortable? +

Our luxury desert camps offer comfortable beds with mattresses, pillows, and blankets. Tents are traditional Berber style but with modern comforts. Shared bathroom facilities are available. For the 2-night trek, one night is spent in a traditional nomadic tent for an authentic experience.

What's the best time of year for camel trekking? +

Spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) offer the most pleasant temperatures. Summer (June-August) can be extremely hot during the day but nights are comfortable. Winter (December-February) days are mild but nights can be very cold, sometimes below freezing.

Can children participate in camel treks? +

Yes, children over 5 years old can participate. For younger children, we can arrange for them to ride with an adult on the same camel. The 1-night trek is more suitable for families with young children due to the shorter duration.
