For those who love silence
At dawn the desert is cool, empty and utterly silent: all you hear is the camels' footsteps on the sand. You set off while it's still dark, with a torch, and reach the top of a dune as the sky turns first violet and then pink.
It's perfect in summer, when afternoons are too hot, but it's beautiful in every season. Breakfast awaits you when you get back.

How it works: Sunrise camel ride

About an hour before sunrise — Departure
We pick you up at your hotel while it's still dark. You get on the camel with headlamps and head for the dunes.
-
2
Sunrise from the dune
You walk up the last stretch and wait for the sun sitting on the sand. The cameleer makes tea if you like.
-
3
Return
Back in the caravan in the morning light, with the long shadows of the camels and the first photos of the day. Arrival at the hotel for breakfast.

FAQ
What time do we leave?
It depends on the season: around 5:00 in summer, around 6:30 in winter. We confirm the time the evening before.
Can I do both sunset and sunrise?
Yes: many travellers ride to the camp at sunset and back at sunrise, with the night in the desert in between.
